Support for life’s final chapter

I offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and families facing death, dying, or grief. My approach is calm, grounded, and always centred on your needs.

My name is Shannon

I’m a trained End-of-Life Doula, a mother of two, Director-At-Large with the BC Hospice and Palliative Care Association and a volunteer with BC Cancer.

I came to this work after the early passing of my father from a terminal illness. Witnessing his final months within the healthcare system motivated me to leave my career in the corporate world and dedicate myself to supporting others during life’s final chapter.

Today, I offer grief and caregiver support, end-of-life planning, and guidance for those navigating Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). I approach this work with compassion, respect, dignity, and clear communication—meeting you and your family wherever you are at.

It would be an honour to support you during this meaningful time.

Services I offer

Every individual and family is unique. I offer personalized, non-medical support to meet the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs that arise at the end of life or after a loss.

  • Compassionate space for individuals and families processing loss.

  • Emotional support and practical guidance for those caring for someone at the end of life.

  • Support with preparing for death—including legacy projects, practical planning, and being present in the final days or hours.

  • Guidance and emotional presence for individuals and families exploring or preparing for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

Why work with a Death Doula?

Green tree cloudy sky somber tone

Death doulas provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support for individuals and families during one of life’s most vulnerable times. I offer calm, compassionate presence—helping reduce fear, clarify wishes, and honour what matters most.

Whether you’re preparing for the end of life, caring for someone, or grieving a loss, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Grief has no timeline. Whether you're mourning a recent loss or carrying pain from years past, I offer space to talk, feel, and simply be.

Locally serving Oak Bay, Victoria and Esquimalt on Vancouver Island

I provide in-person support in Greater Victoria, including Oak Bay, Saanich, and Esquimalt. I also offer virtual sessions for individuals and families across Canada.

Whether we meet in person or online, I strive to create a grounded, supportive space for you.
